We are inviting all recent graduates with creative degrees that live in Tower Hamlets and surrounding boroughs to apply to our Graduate Support Programme. The programme includes free use of studio space at Craft Central for up to a year as well as bespoke mentoring and the opportunity to create your own exhibition

Craft Central has supported craftsmanship and craftspeople for nearly 50 years. We have 65 studio spaces and an Exhibition Hall on the Isle of Dogs, East London. We have built a flourishing community of creative practices that often collaborate and embark on projects together. We offer craftspeople and creatives a stable, consistent environment in which to work, grow and exhibit.
We are inviting recent graduates from creative BA & MA courses who live in Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Waltham Forest, Newham, Greenwich or Lewisham to apply for a fixed term free studio space at Craft Central. Degrees include although not limited to: textiles, fashion, graphic design, design, photography, video production, film, set design, jewellery, and product design.
Not only will you benefit from the use of a free, spacious studio for up to a year to develop your practice, but also gain from having one-to-one mentorship from a handpicked designer-maker with years of practical and business experience. This is an opportunity to be part of a unique thriving creative community where you will benefit from peer support and skill exchange. At the end of the residency, you will be supported in putting on an exhibition in our impressive triple-height Exhibition Hall to showcase the work you have produced during your time at Craft Central. There are also opportunities to get involved in our engagement programmes ie Flax Exchange and Arts Awards projects whilst you are with us.
We hope the experience will give you the insight and tools to forge a career as a designer-maker/ creative.
