For Clerkenwell Design Week (23-25 May), Transport for London (TfL) and Craft Central have joined together to celebrate TfL's unique history and heritage of design with a specially commissioned collection of thirteen brand new Underground-inspired brooches.
TfL and Craft Central, together with one of the UK’s foremost brooch collectors Joanna Sterling, have curated a collection that pays homage to the history of the brooch and its creative love affair with London. Alongside the exhibition of the brooches, featured on Joanna’s Tube Flash website, thirteen of Craft Central’s network members have been invited to create a range of new brooch designs, inspired both by the Underground and by the brooches and stories on Tube Flash. The brooches will be available for sale from shop.tfl.gov.uk/clerkenwell-design-week and from the TfL Pop Up Shop outside Craft Central, during Clerkenwell Design Week.
We really hope you can join us to celebrate this collaborative first in the main foyer at Craft Central, 33-35 St John Square.
