We are Silvia and Philip Crawford. As regular visitors to Venice we were fascinated by the glass we saw there. To understand it better, we decided to learn how to make it ourselves so we enrolled at the Abate Zanetti glass school in Murano, the island outside Venice where Venetian glass is made. That was 15 years' ago and after much training and practice we now have a studio in Craft Central in docklands where we use blowtorches, rods of Venetian glass and tools which are also made in Venice to make necklaces, bracelets, rings and other glass jewellery and objects. We make each bead or ring individually by hand and then combine the glass with Sterling Silver or Italian waxed cotton to produce colourful, versatile and unique items which can be worn anywhere and with almost anything. Whilst we regularly update our collections, increasingly we find that our customers are keen to influence the designs themselves and commission us to make things to their own specifications (shape, size, colour etc). Personalised creations are an increasing part of what we offer.
