Craft Central was thrilled to be able to hold its Open Studios & Winter Market on the weekend 21 & 22 November. We had one of our busiest events yet. It was a delight to be able to welcome so many new faces as well as many familiar ones. Many visitors commented on the quality of work and the friendly atmosphere.
Over the weekend, the public explored the private studios of Craft Central’s makers as well as shopped from our wider craft community exhibiting in the gallery.
The drop-in, affordable workshops were enjoyed by families and individual salike. Learning a new skill and taking away something to be proud of. On Saturday we had Craft Central’s long term network member Georgia Bosson hold a “Block Print a Furoshiki Wrap” workshop. A festive workshop to make a unique block printed textile, which can be used to create a cloth wrap for gifts
On Sunday Studio holder, Molu Designs, led a family-friendly lettering workshop togive letter-lovers a chance to paint a colourful, bold 3D letter onto a wooden coaster.
The every popular Japanese micro bakery Gu Choki Pan returned serving up delicious sweet and savoury Japanese sourdough treat.
Thank you to everyone that came and was part of weekend. Your support is greatly appreciated
