Craft Central's London Craft Week 2020 Programme Announced

Join Craft Central for a celebration of their female makers. Textile artist Emily Jo Gibbs, who currently appears in the V&A Bags Exhibition, will be giving a talk on The Value of Making, an ongoing project celebrating makers in stitch. Emily will also be running a hand-stitched silk organza appliqué workshop where you can learn her technique.

Other workshops include

Bespoke Scent Making workshop with Maya Njie, a Liberty’s stocked parfumier.

Herin Hong, the leather designer-maker behind Mollum Vellum, will be hosting an introduction to leathercraft.

Erna Janine of Freeweaver studio presents an opportunity to learn Japanese Bengala dying and SAORI weaving.

Sarah Desmarais, a textile designer-maker and crafts researcher, will teach the Japanese practise of Kazone, rice paste resist printing.
