My work is based on fragile, delicate and ethereal structures that can be found within the natural environment. My sources of inspiration are eclectic in their qualities. Jewellery design and manufacture have been key to the production of the objects that I make. Through directly working with organic materials using a range of processes and techniques, I am able to explore forms and objects that are worn on the body.
The source of inspiration for this collection is my aunt's English cottage garden in Farnham, Surrey. The beautiful garden contains Hydrangea bushes of various colours. I press the individual flowers in between pages of heavy books, using the pressed flowers directly to make my jewellery. The petals are either rolled onto silver wax or polymer clay using my own mastered technique.
