If you are planning a career as a designer or in a supporting role as part of a creative business this tailored training can help. The training has been designed to give you practical advice and support so that you get the most out of valuable work experience opportunities.
Work experience or a work placement can give you an idea of what it is like to run your own creative business, help to develop your CV and gain knowledge of the creative industry.
Run by Gwen Knowles, Guidance Specialist with the University of the Arts London careers department. The workshop will cover:
- The benefits of doing a work placement
- How to find a placement that’s right for you
- What to expect from a work placement
- The challenges you might face and how to overcome them
- Practical advice on achieving your goals
