Skills Brokerage Scheme
Enabling creative businesses and interested individuals to find each other
Craft Central is keen to help creative businesses that want to expand by taking on new members of staff, work placement students or volunteers. Craft Central has noticed that although many designers wish to grow their businesses many aren’t aware of how to take on extra staff or how to find keen people who will help to develop their businesses.
Likewise there are interested and dedicated people out there who are interested in taking on a support role within a craft/design studio or who want to gain experience to help them with their own creative practice.
Accessing the Skills Brokerage Scheme
- Designers – if you are a designer-maker who needs help with your business then email info@craftcentral.org.uk putting "Skills Brokerage - designer" in the subject line of your email. Craft Central will then be in touch to assess your needs and help you to find a suitable volunteer or member of staff.
- Interested individuals – if you are looking for a career in the creative sector whether it be part time, full time, voluntary or just for some experience, the designers on our Network may be able to offer you a placement. Please email emily.mackillop@craftcentral.org.uk with this information:
