Sally Elizabeth aims to design and produce totally unique jewellery and vessels working in silver and copper. Inspiration comes from a childhood fascination with horse chestnuts and other such seedpods found in and amongst the foliage on woodland floors. Sally has always loved their tough often spiky outer shells in comparison with a perfect untouched seed within. While studying and drawing from these forms the work produced is very tactile and organic with rustic qualities yet highly finished. The pieces are hand raised and formed from flat sheets of metal before different components are soldered together, using techniques of etching and oxidising to create surface textures.
