Craft Central

Rosemary’s current collection features necklaces of semi-precious stones strung with hand-made silver beads that resonate with the form or texture of the stones.  Her designs have bold asymmetric lines, often softened by delicate reticulation or frosted surface finishes, sometimes accentuated by rich, dark oxidisation of the metal.

Some of her earlier designs in sterling silver explore variations on moons and crescents: slung on snake chain or torcs as single pendants, clustered in necklace ‘drops’ or simply mounted as large earring studs and cufflinks.

She was taught by Sonia Cheadle and Amanda Doughty, originally in an evening class, and five years on is continuing to develop skills in the ‘guided space’ programme at Sonia’s School.  She has exhibited at Craft Central's Open Studio weekends since June 2005.
