I am a textile designer with a particular focus on knit and crochet.
I have used traditional hand knit and crochet techniques to create a collection of contemporary textiles. Much of my inspiration comes from these traditional techniques such as smocking and Aran knit stitches.
Knitted, crocheted, and embroidered fabrics are applied to a range of products including scarves, jewellery and cushions. I design and produce all fabrics myself either by hand or using domestic knitting machines. All are made using naturally dyed organic or leftover yarns to minimise waste and impact on the environment.
The collection also includes screen printed fabrics produced using environmentally friendly water based pigments and organic fabric. The printed fabrics are often used in combination with knitted pieces.
