Rachel Horrocks is a Bristol based designer with a passion for interior spaces.
Her interest in play and interactivity inform her designs resulting in work that is tactile and highly engaging. ‘Basic Baroque’ is a contemporary remodelling of the Baroque style that attempts to rework traditional notions with a humorous ready made approach. Made from 100% felt these pieces can be composed however the user desires, in either symmetrical patterning or a more random composition. Some could say its fuzzy felt for grown ups!
Her innovative design work has seen her gain attention from various companies worldwide and since graduating in 2007 she has been awarded a place on the creative business programme ‘Insight Out’ run by The National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts and is currently working with them to expand her range.
