Places & Spaces encompasses Craft Central’s two historic London buildings providing workspace and exhibition facilities to a vibrant community of crafts people and designer-makers including jewellers, goldsmiths, silversmiths, theatrical costumiers, engravers, ceramicists, musical instrument makers and designers of fashion, textiles, graphics and many more.
Places & Spaces provides secure and professional workspace in a unique central London location from which makers can base their business. Workshops and studios are available full-time, part-time or on a more flexible basis depending on needs. The ways of taking on workspace have developed to suit makers at different stages of their business development, from pre-start up to mid-career and beyond.
Workspace users at Craft Central benefit from a range of additional services and opportunities including networking events, promotional opportunities, IT resources, business advice and much more. Most important of all is a sense of being part of something special that encourages and inspires makers in their day to day working lives.
Made in Clerkenwell is Craft Central’s twice yearly open studio event when the community of renowned designers and makers opens its doors to the public providing a unique opportunity to discover and buy craft and design direct.
