Craft Central

From the ridiculous to the sublime I work on the wheel.

An experience initially so like sticking your hand up a  cows bottom, but also, by contrast to this vulgarity, a transportation that results in finding yourself playing a rhapsody on a finely tuned instrument.

The work continues to evolve over time and each piece is unique. Hand thrown on the wheel, turned and then manipulated or cut, these pieces are made in Oxidised Porcelain and glazed internally. The majority of my pieces are vase forms but I also make bowls and saki cups.

Visitors to the workshop are welcome, but please ring to arrange an appointment. We generally have open studio's twice yearly.
