Who is….
Mayza Joao is an architect who found in Jewellery design and making one of her main interests shortly after she finished her architectural degree in Brazil.
What is the inspiration behind your work?
Inspired by architectural forms, her work tries to unravel the beauty of forms by themselves, designing pieces more as objects of design rather than as adornments. Her collections reflect a search for synthesis and simplicity combining geometrical forms and organic shapes into wearable sculptures.
My favourite material is..
Using precious metals such as silver and gold as the main materials, she challenges her imagination by restraining the use of stones or other elements that can divert from the minimal approach that she wants to achieve.

The Brilliance Exhibition will show pieces from 4 collections : Architectonics, Organics, Structures and Cage, all them exploring movement , rhythm , elegance and sensuality from three dimensional shapes derived from her Architectural imagination.
