Lillibule Ceramics is, in a word, escapism. Founded, and designed, by Sylvie, Lillibule was first conceived of during a trip to South-East Asia and Mexico. The print-led collections reflect Sylvie’s love of colour and decoration, bringing fun and escapism into our daily surroundings.
‘Everywhere in South East Asia was filled with decoration, Mexico is painted with the brightest of colours, giving a sense of sunniness and well being even on the greyest of days. I can’t bring the sun to the UK but through my work I hope to bring that “sunny feeling"?.
Of dual nationality, Sylvie’s heritage shows in her Hummingbird Collection with its feminine boudoir style and added pinch of English quirkiness. Her striking use of pattern and surrounding space make Lillibule Ceramics, truly desirable
Like her Humming Bird Collection, her new collection Apple Tree is inspired by nature, pretty, delicate, and slightly kooky. The aging branch overflowing with both flowers and fruit represent the cycles of nature
