Lesley Ann originally trained as a theatrical costume designer and spent many years working as a costume/prop maker for theatre, film and television.
Lesley Ann now specialises in creating striking, decorative pieces that employ her passion for colour and ornamentation. Her work includes many butterfly themed fashion ornaments as well as elaborate motifs which can be turned into a unique piece of jewellery, hair accessory or form part of a headdress. For Lesley Ann, designing involves fun and spontanaeity whilst maintaining a high level of craftsmanship.This is demonstrated in the unique one-off and limited edition pieces she creates.
Lesley Ann’s designs often begin life as a doodle inspired by a beautiful fabric, a wonderfully coloured Swarovski crystal or an unusual trinket. Each piece is hand crafted with meticulous attention to detail using a vast range of decorative elements. She designs for individuals who are looking for something eye-catching and unique without compromising on the glamour and she is open to imput from her customers in order to create a piece that is individual to them.
Many of her butterfly designs have been featured in both fashion and bridal magazines including UK “Vogueâ€?, “ESâ€? magazine, “Bridesâ€?, “For the Brideâ€? and “You and Your Weddingâ€?.Â
