Hand-printed and ethical de-luxe interior and fashion textiles: Laura Berens hand-colours, digitally enhances, designs and prints on luxury and found materials to create colourful and original fabrics. Inspired by rare collections of vintage photography and drawings, these beautiful designs are then hand-made into unique life-style interiors and fashion accessories, offering a ravishing alternative to the mass-produced and universal.
Meticulous consideration of colour, fabric and design enables Laura to experiment and fine-tune the printing process to ensure that each piece is original. Collections range from geishas and show-girls to botanicals and architecturals.
Laura Berens sources both organic and vintage fabrics for her work. The designs are printed using water-based inks, which are less destructive to the environment.As each piece is handmade, they are all unique, with antique buttons and beading adding their own singularity. Laura Berens produces limited edition print runs on all of her designs, enabling her to develop the range whilst maintaining a collectable element to her work.
Additional projects include a funky limited edition t-shirt collection and a series of stunning wall hangings. Alternative colours and sizes can be made to order and commissions are welcomed. A bespoke service is also available.
