Craft Central

One of last working trimming weavers in the U.K I produce innovative and contemporary hand-made passementerie
to order. Apart from using skills that date back to the 15th century I also incorporate beading and macramé.

Why does London inspire you?

London inspires me in every way; from its architecture, to its history and culture, to it’s people.

Your Craft London work is…?

My Craft London work is a outsized 1.25m tassel. Made employing traditional techniques such as braid and fringe weaving, ruffs and hand-spun cord, but using hi-tech light reflective, metallic and hi-shine materials.

Why are you the one to watch?

I am one to watch because I am taking passementerie to new places by producing directional and design-led products that are beautiful and bold statement pieces in their own right.

What does the future hold?

I will be showing at TentLondon, 23-26 September 2010, where I will be launching 2 new collections, continuing my work for some of the countries top interior designers, as well as collaborations with designers from different, more large scale instillations and teaching workshops around the country.
