Irene Adjei is highly talented, versatile, contemporary designer. Her love for creativity and design is traceable to childhood but her passion was launched onto new heights when she attended the prestigious Central Saint Martin's College of Art and Design in 1995. There, she developed an eye for the playfulness of colour co-ordination and texture.
Irene graduated with a BSc Hons in Textiles and Fashion Design Management at Heriot-watt University: Scottish school of Textiles, she had gained remarkable expertise in the classic technique of garments construction, using paper, scissors and fine fabrics.
Irene has acquired a solid background in the fashion and manufacturing industry and has held roles encompassing Designer, Fitter & Bridal Consultant and Garment Assurance Technologist.
Dramatic, timeless, one of a kind has become Irene's trademark. Each beautiful garment, with intricate detailing reflects her training, sense of originality, and a commitment to hard work. This unique creative vision and an eye for beauty, leads to the establishment of Aku Mode; a timeless dream that creates attention with a modern twist............
