Helena began her jewellery career whilst travelling in India. She started using coconut to form bangles and carved pendants. She studied with a jeweller in Rajasthan learning silver skills and is now developing her work under the guidance of Sonia Cheadle at her school in Craft Central.
Helena's work is inspired by nature and and the qualities of the materials she uses. Her aim is to capture the movement and liquidity of nature using repetitive forms. She references tribal and indigenous use of materials whilst also utilising the richness of different finishes in silver and gold.
