Heather Stowell graduated from the London Guildhall University in 1989 with a BA (Hons) Degree in ‘Jewellery, Silversmithing and Allied Arts’.  She was able to set up her own studio in 1992, with the help of a grant from the Clerkenwell Green Association.

She designs and makes her various collections, which sell primarily to contemporary jewellery shops and galleries across the UK; Heather has also had collections in leading designer outlets in New York and Tokyo.  Over the years, she has designed and developed her ‘Melted’ collection; the decoration is achieved by melting the surface of the silver, giving each piece its unique texture. The designs of the jewellery come from exploring the natural simplicity that scrolls and spirals inspire.

The Bangles have been the main attraction of the collection as they are expandable, so fitting any size wrist, and they come in eight widths from 0.5cm up to 5cm. The hallmarks are hand stamped by the London Assay Office, they confirm the quality of silver, the year made and the makers mark.

In the new collection "Old Buttons" the pieces are individually designed, putting together quality buttons to show off their colour, style and texture to their best advantage

Heather’s work is for sale by mail order and through selected galleries and shops.
