Elaine Cox's jewellery has a sculptural quality and resonates with her feelings about the land. She creates pieces that combine an experimental and intuitive use of textures, colour and materials within a carefully considered form.
Gold and Silver, sometimes highly polished, sometimes distressed, co-exist with unpolished or crushed stones and minerals that evoke industry, farming and archaeology. Through the exploration and juxtaposition of textures, sculptural forms and materials, she creates highly distinctive collections of work as well as one-off pieces.
