Craft Central

I have considerable experience in photography, graphic illustration, art direction and design. I created Digitapix as a long term project to develop a way of combining these skills to create a visual, illustrative style that is dynamic, exciting and above all unique.

This style concentrates on working with all forms of imagery, digitising it, then manipulating it to create agitated states through the distortion of the image's shape, form and colour. My emphasis is mainly on portraiture, but not exclusively!

A recent project, Agitated States, looked at the fetish world and set out to challenge the stereotypical perception of fetish dress by creating powerful images through the distortion of highlights and shadows and yet still retain the character and mystery of the person.

Other projects have included the SKY - working with sunsets, sunrise and vapour trials. HARBOURS - working with metal chains, rust and rope. FLOWERS - looking at colour and shape. This is an on going and quite experimental process that I find exciting and challenging and always rewarding.

All images are commissioned through discussion. Whether you need an electronic image, an A3 print or a 2 metre canvas, lets talk. If you want something I have already produced have a look at my website. There are some good examples to look through and that can be reproduced to any size.
