Daphne Krinos is one of the best known studio jeweller/designers currently working in London.
What is the inspiration behind your work?
Inspiration for current collections comes from construction and demolition sites in London, barriers, fences, architecture and modern design, fifties design, as well as colours and light from Greece.
What is you favourite material?
Always metal, either dark oxidised silver, or matt gold. Lovely to work with, has been my "trademark" material since I began working.
Why I am one to watch?
Because my work continually evolves: I never rest on my laurels, repeating cetrain designs just because they sell. I am constantly trying to move on, and develop new ideas. And I make work which is lovely to wear and goes with what is fashionable.

The collections I am working on are based on architectural observations and the rhythm of repeated shapes in regular patterns.
What does the future hold...
