Craft Central

My work is influenced by form, texture and colour, and is very much about exploration and combination of materials including mixed media, metal and plastics (mainly resin). My current collection combines silver, epoxy resin and tealeaves; this range of jewellery is inspired by the tradition of tea drinking, the collection has followed on from my graduate collection.

Contradictory textures and feelings are seen in the knitted /woollen range, putting soft surfaces and materials inside hard plastic and creating a visual texture without a sensory feeling. I produce small batch productions of contemporary jewellery, which sell through shops and art galleries around the country as well as making specific conceptual pieces for exhibitions.

I exhibited in the Brilliantly Birmingham exhibition in December 06, and showed at Crafts at Bovey Tracey in June 06.

This year I am taking part in Dazzle for the first time and have gained some new outlets including Victoria Sewart contemporary jewellery in Plymouth.
