To see people smile when they pick up or look at my jewellery is a great achievement because I aim to imbue all my pieces with a sense of playfulness.
I have been particularly interested in work to combine metal and textile. The merging of stillness with movement, so I have been experimenting with felt. For the future I am also looking at the possibility of incorporating hand made paper and lamination in my work. Another area that interests me greatly and is a big feature in my work is texture and how changing the texture changes the surfaces nature of the metal. It is my overriding aim to combine imaginative design with solid craftsmanship to produce wearable, exciting and lasting pieces of jewellery.
