Craft Central

My jewellery is inspired by quickly drawn graphic lines: I like to capture a sense of their energy and create exuberant and sometimes whimsical jewellery.

Much of my current collection is based on sketches of my pet chickens and other birds grazing, flapping and playing. Some of my work is also informed by drawings of music and other sounds I encounter.

I use silver and 18 carat gold wires as my basic palette, sometimes counterbalancing or highlighting them with materials such as wood, precious or semi-precious stones, or anodised aluminium.

I trained at the London Metropolitan University and was awarded first prize for BA body of work from the Goldsmiths’ Company. All my jewellery is handmade and hallmarked in London.

Publications include: /‘Adorn’/ by Amanda Mansell, /‘Jewellery Using Textile Techniques’/ by Sarah Keay, /The Telegraph Weekend/, and /Good Housekeeping/.

Outlets include: Lesley Craze Gallery, Studio Fusion Gallery, and Goldsmiths’ Fair.
