Autumn / Winter Collection 2009
New work inspired by the Museum of London
For rising star in men’s fashion Carolyn Massey, researching amidst the 24,000 items of clothing making up the Museum of London’s dress and costume archive proved a feast of inspiration. Already known for her revival of forgotten historic details and a look which is both ultra modern and hints at British heritage Carolyn’s latest collection was further inspired by the National Army Museum archives at Sandhurst.

This year, London Fashion Week broke boundaries with the addition of a Man Day and Carolyn’s label and its increasing success has been influential in making this happen. After only a few years in business, Carolyn Massey’s progressive look has been snapped up by fashion conscious shoppers able to pick from her capsule collections at Topman. Amongst other items causing a stir on the street, last year’s ‘Man Cape’ was a sell out hit.
This exhibition pulls together the research and development that goes into a collection and offers you an exclusive ‘behind the scenes’ peek.
