The Candice Wren label hand silk screen prints onto pashminas. The concept behind the brand is to create quirky and pretty pashminas for ladies who love to accessorise.

Candice is in her studio for each and every step of the hand making process. The designer begins by free hand drawing and illustrating textile designs/placement motifs, which are then transformed onto products in print. Candice’s style of illustration gives the label its character and distinctiveness.

For the current collection, different constructive techniques have been used along side silk screen printing which is the brands main focus. The idea of recycling old fabrics to create a new fashion couture is exciting and has been demonstrated by appliquéing vintage fabrics to the pashmina with printing worked over the top to give the illusion of a template. Other designs have been defined by including embellishing relics of haberdashery and beads that some may leave behind. All of these key things are hand picked by the designer herself.

All products are hand made in Candice’s studio in the UK and made to order pashminas can be discussed. The company hopes to expand and launch out, producing other accessories soon to come.

Candice studied at the University of Portsmouth, and graduated with a BA Hons Fashion and Textiles degree in 2007.
