I work (and teach) in two different disciplines: Vitreous Enamelling (the art of fusing glass to metal) and Pewter Repousse (the craft of hand modelling sheet pewter for decorative effect).
My work ranges from jewellery for personal adornment to vessels, boxes and mirrors (mainly pewter work) for the home.
I like to base my pewter work around a theme ('butterflies', 'ammonites', etc.), linking vases with corresponding boxes and mirrors, and aim to bring a contemporary approach to a technique popularised by the Arts & Crafts Movement.
My enamel work is undergoing an exciting time of change and exploration, currently employing the use of simple markmaking techniques (sgraffito, stamping, printing) to create unique 'wearable works of art'.
