Kew for inspiration…….

Glass artist Amy Christie continues her love affair with nature, taking her influence from nearby Kew Botanic Gardens to add exciting, warm hues and tones to this season’s palette of colours for her collection of crystal glass jewellery -  young foliage inspires fresh greens and crystal-clear water shades of blue from ice to cobalt.  The colours are rich and vibrant and compliment Amy’s simple, yet stylish, collection of jewellery from pendants to earrings and chokers.  Amy’s jewellery is designed for all occasions: casual for day or dramatic for evening.  The diversity of colours and shapes ensures that there is a piece to suit everyone, and every outfit.

Amy is an established glass artist working with 24% lead crystal glass that is hand-blown and shaped using centuries old techniques. By combining hot glass techniques and kiln work, she creates a fusion of colour and light with metal foils, such as silver leaf, added to create a sparkle.  Each individual piece is then worked with silver and set into the various designs in the collection. Each item is entirely hand-finished, ensuring each one is unique, and personal.
