Craft Central

Collected like a magpie, from the hills of Vietnam, bazaars of Bangkok and deserted pacific beaches to the depths of her Grandmothers’ embroidery box; Alice Eden uses an eclectic mix of materials sourced, found and gathered from the far corners of the globe to create pieces of intrigue and wonder.

Constantly searching for new & unusual objects to use in her designs, her work reflects a love of travel and passion for all things that glisten."

Alice‘s fascination for jewellery began with a childhood spend watching her grandfather sawing, hammering and filing away at his kitchen table, creating objects of desire that filled her grandmothers jewellery box and made her face light up with joy.

After initially studying fashion, she worked as a stylist and then as an art buyer, before a silversmithing course in Thailand and subsequent jewellery training at London Metropolitan University sealed her future as a jeweller.

She began designing and making her own unique style of jewellery in 2005.

With regular press coverage in Vogue, Elle & The Guardian and stockists in Paris, San Francisco, Melbourne & Tokyo as well as throughout the UK, Alice’s work has recently been featured in exhibitions at Angel Row Gallery in Nottingham, The Lighthouse Gallery in Glasgow and the RBSA, Birmingham.
