Who is Alexandra?
A passionate jewellery designer, maker and seller who likes Ceroc dancing, badminton, travel and getting together with friends! She has been likened to 'a rainbow, all positive and full of energy' by Maria Del Mare
Why does London inspire me?
It is my home town and I love living here. The magic that is found in its flora and fauna from my garden, to parks, rivers and.... The buzz and energy found in the variety of museums, art galleries, exhibitions, artists and crafts people...nowhere else in the world can we find such a density of art on our doorstep.
My Craft London work is…
handmade, enchanting jewellery designs lovingly carved, pierced, soldered and wire worked into romantic, intricate jewellery collectables. I design and make jewellery in 18ct gold and sterling silver, often (and unusually) combining the two along with pearls and other gemstones. What else is different? ...a story behind the collections/pieces, they have such a delicate quality about them yet are strong and durable, wearing them makes you feel special
Why am I the one to watch?
I am going from strength to strength! This year I am building on the successes of last, winning the Coutts New Jeweller award, being one of a few jewellers to be selected by the British Jewellers’ Association to represent British jewellery on their stands for trade shows in the UK and abroad
More and more shops and galleries both nationally and internationally are selling my work and increasingly the public is buying and requesting my designs directly at exhibitions, by phone and through the internet.
